Hm, yeah, I know just the moment...
Me and 2 corp mates were down close to PC9 to check on the recent huuuuge blob of ships and ship-kills generated in that system. This was in the very first days of Catch22's invasion of Third Front territory, and allthough we had the intel we were bored and wanted to check for ourselves.
We jumped in to a neighbour system of PC9, and realise that we have 4 or 5 badguys in local. We were at that moment one raven and 2 scorps so we weren't overly nervous, but we also knew that there were probably quite alot of Catch22's in the next system, ready to come to the pirates assistance.
We decided to stay at the jumpin gate, and moved closer to the gate just in case while chatting with the locals to learn more of the situation. Sure enough, within a couple of minutes 2 Corp 1 frigs show up at long range. Typical setup for a trap so I command the guys to lock, but don't fire. One of the frigs started engaging with cruise missiles, and for soem time we let him play. After a while, and steadily checking local to see if reinforcements came in, I aligned to a planet and engaged one of the frigs. Within the next minute or so the scanner started filling up with red blips.
I'm still a bit uncertain on the exact numbers, but I believe there were between 15 and 20 badguys, 10 or so frigs, some cruisers and a few bs. I command the two scorps to jump and run while I stay a few more seconds to cover their escape. From there it went downhill quickly. All the frigs zoomed towards me and I desperatly warped to a planet to get out. I had to leave my drones, but got the bonus of seeing one of the frigs blown to pieces by them just as I warp out.
Frigs warp alot quicker than bs, so it was no surprise that when I arrived, 2 frigs were allready waiting for me. By that time I'd decided on a moon to jump to, and since I was lucky enough that only one of the frigs were close when I jumped in I had enough cores to warp out again. The next few minutes were filled with me jumping to various moons while burning cap like mad and finally ended up in a safespot.
So in the end the score was 6 heavy drones vs one frig.
